MeetingsTo further its mission, FARB sponsors three annual conferences. Please use the links on the left to view additional event details as well as access event registration pages. The FARB ForumHeld in late January, the Forum attracts approximately 175 to 200 attendees including testing experts, individual board members from state and provincial regulatory boards, executive directors, related staff, investigators, assistant attorneys general and private legal counsel. The FARB Forum is educationally driven and includes sessions that inform attendees about recent regulatory and examination issues and encourage collaboration among regulatory boards to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities. The Attorney Certification SeminarHeld in early October, the ACS attracts around 125 Attorneys General representatives, federation attorneys, board members, and staff for an in-depth analysis of current legal issues impacting regulatory boards. The FARB ACS is unique in its focus on jurisprudence across jurisdictions and the opportunity it provides to address Attorneys General representatives throughout the United States and Canada. The Leadership ConferenceThe Leadership Conference sponsored by FARB is held periodically and is designed to provide the executive directors and officers of FARB’s Full member associations with a forum to discuss current topics and form a “long range plan” for future FARB initiatives. Samples of such initiatives include the FARB Generic Model Practice Act, the FARB Model Code of Conduct for Board Members and the FARB Model Application for Licensure and Renewal. These documents are drafted by various committees and scrutinized by the FARB Board of Directors and attendees of various FARB conferences before approval. |
